Have you ever wondered just what the different Snow Emergency Levels mean?
Here are the Snow Advisory/Emergency Level Definitions according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Department for your reference:
LEVEL 1
Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads are also icy. Drive very cautiously.
LEVEL 2
Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads can be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roadways. People should contact their employer to see If they should report to work.
LEVEL 3
ALL roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one should be out during these conditions unless is is absolutely necessary to travel. All employees should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Those traveling may subject themselves to arrest under 2917.13 of the Ohio Revised Code. This offense is a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
