Wooster Unity Project
Event Name: Wooster Ethnic Fair
Event Date and Time: April 17 11 am to 5 pm
Event Details: The 9th Annual Wooster Ethnic Fair will be held April 17th at the Wayne County Fairgrounds beginning at 11am until 5pm and is open to the public free of charge. Bring your family for a fun filled day that combines entertainment and education from a variety of cultural exhibits representing over 40 countries. Displays will provide information about the country as well as an opportunity to taste foods from other lands and see various forms of entertainment. This event is also the 2010 kick-off of the Embracing Our Differences Ohio traveling art exhibit featuring primarily creations from local school children. Come and see how these artists portray what diversity means to them. This year's keynote speaker during the opening ceremonies at 11 am will be Andries Coetzee, a new resident to Wayne County hailing from South Africa. He is the new minister at Westminster Presbyterian Church and will certainly have a unique perspective to share as it relates to cultural differences. Fairgoers will have an opportunity to win cash prizes by completing a fair passport stamped by each "country" visited. There will also be an opportunity to win an Apple i-Pod nano for participating in the scavenger hunt at the Embracing Our Differences Ohio booth.
