Wayne County Public Library Children's Department Second Annual Touch-A-Truck
Trucks, trucks and more trucks will be heading to the Wayne County Public Library on Saturday, October 2nd for the Second Annual Touch-A-Truck program! It was so much fun last year that the library decided to bring the trucks back and ask a few more to come along and join the fun! The event will be held at the Wooster Branch of the Wayne County Public Library from 10am to 1:30pm
This program will feature a variety of trucks and equipment from in and around the Wayne County area. Some of the participants that will be joining the newly refurbished Wayne County Public Library’s Mobile Branch at this event include the Holmes-Wayne Electric Cooperative of West Salem; Wooster Street Department; D&S Distribution; Illusions Screen Printing; J&J Refuse; North End Garage, the Wooster Fire Department and the Wooster Police Department. Attendees will be given the opportunity to talk with the drivers and have a close look at their vehicles.
There will be transportation-themed story times at 10:30, 11:45 and 12:45 in the Children’s Department. A craft will be available for children and their parents to complete together. Children can also share truck books with the PAWS TO READ therapy dogs throughout the event.
While attending the Touch-a-Truck, families are encouraged to explore the Wayne County Family and Children First Council’s Parent Open House in the library’s conference room from 10-12. More than ten programs serving the children of Wayne County will be represented. All are invited to come discover resources, information and ideas at booths dedicated to "helping parents discover things a parent needs to know."
