WAYNE COUNTY DEMOCRATS TO HOST JACKSON DAY DINNER
On Saturday, February 20, 2010 the Wayne County Democratic Party will host its 155th consecutive JACKSON DAY DINNER at the Memories Party & Conference Center, 2437-B Back Orrville Road, Wooster, (just east off State Route 585 at the NE edge of Wooster.) All interested parties are invited to attend.
The featured speakers will be 16th District Representative to U. S. Congress John Boccieri, Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner and Ohio Treasurer Kevin Boyce. Senator Sherrod Brown as well as all Ohio Democratic state elected officials have also been invited to attend, including Lee Fisher, Ohio Lt. Governor, Yvette McGee Brown, candidate for Lt Governor, Mary Jane Trapp, candidate for the Ohio Supreme Court, Richard Cordray, Ohio Attorney General, District 3 State Representative candidate Brian Ferguson and candidates for the Ninth District Court of Appeals Robert J. Brown, Carla Moore and Rita Rochford. Governor Ted Strickland may also drop by, as he usually does. He has been traveling around the state recently, talking about how Ohio is first in education and programs to secure more jobs for Ohio under his efforts.
Doors will open at 6 pm for a social hour. A choice of vegetarian or chicken dinners will be served at 7 pm. In addition to the scheduled speakers Old Hickory Awards will be given to Democrats who have supported the Party over the years and the Ruby Award will be awarded for outstanding support during the past year. There will be door prizes, live music and lots of stimulating political conversation.
Regular dinner tickets are still available at $35 per person. Please make reservations in advance to allow for an accurate dinner count. Silver and Gold Patron tickets are available for $75 and $125 respectively or you may reserve a table for 8 people for $290. Patron names will be printed in the program booklet.
