WHEN: On Thanksgiving day, Thursday, November 22. Doors open at 10:45 a.m. Terry Pluto, Sports writer and Faith column writer will be giving an inspiring message before the noon meal. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. evening meal.
WHY: Every day, Haven of Rest provides hundreds of hot, nutritious meals to homeless, hungry, and poor men, women and children. A meal is often the first contact Haven of Rest has with a person, and helps to make them aware of the special free programs and services that offer help and hope. It is also an opportunity to raise awareness in the community about the problems facing homeless and needy men, women and children.
