Fairlawn Mennonite Church Learn firsthand from the global experiences of pastors, professors, Biblical scholars, mobilizers, theologians, missiologists and missionaries from the field. The 15 weeks of classes will cover the Biblical, historical, cultural and strategic aspects of the World Christian Movement. For more information or to register visit, Perspectives.org. The Better Body 101 class is offered at both your Massillon Family YMCA and Towpath Trail YMCA. The Towpath Y class runs from January 8th through February 26th. Class is from 6:00 P.M.—7:00 P.M. The Massillon Family YMCA class runs January 12th through March 2nd and is from 10:00 A.M.—11:00 A.M. An advanced class, Fit Body 101, is also offered at The Massillon Family YMCA from 9:00 A.M.—10:00 A.M. during the same dates. Both Body 101 classes are $52 for members and only $72 for those not yet members. Community Action Wayne/Medina Free Income Tax Preparation is being offered at Community Action Wayne/Medina through The Ohio Benefit Bank. To qualify for this service, a household’s yearly earnings must be below $60,000. It must be a simple tax return; no self employment, capital gains or city tax returns. The next monthly community breakfast will be held at Valley View Community Church's Family Life Center in Sugarcreek Feb. 2nd. from 7am. - 11am. The all you can eat breakfast consists of pancakes, sausage, eggs (cooked to order), french toast, sausage gravy & biscuits, hash browns, OJ, coffee, chocolate milk, hot chocolate and the occasional special dish. Come in, sit down and let us serve you a quality breakfast. Donations are welcomed. All are invited to come for good food, fellowship and relaxation. West Hill Baptist Church, Wooster WILMOT – Wilmot Fire & Rescue will be teaming up with the Aultman Blood Center on Friday, February 8th, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. inside the Wilmot Fire Hall. Please consider donating blood. What an easy way for YOU to help save a life- possibly a loved one, a friend or even yourself. The volunteer firefighters and EMTs will be serving a light meal to all that stop in to donate blood. Enter to WIN 2 tickets to the department’s monthly All-You-Can Eat Ham Dinners. Civil War Roundtable - CW Reenactment in the Wooster Library Conference Room - Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in collaboration with the Wayne County Libraries, commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War. The reenactment is open to all for no charge and includes a 41st OVI mini-encampment, Janice Corfman with her display of beautiful CW dresses, Raylene Hlavaty and sons with “live“ CW music, Harry McClarran with recorded CW music, Forrest Chanay with some of his extensive CW collection, Jerry and Marilyn Payn as Abraham & Mary Lincoln, plus others. We are delighted to welcome Jill Jordan Burke for our February OrrVilla Community Event. Jill will sing songs from artists Patsy Cline, Anne Murray, and many beloved gospel hymns and inspirational songs. She performed at 1988 Pro Football Hall of Fame Mayors breakfast and has sung the national anthem for the Cleveland Indians and Akron Aeros. In 1989 she was nominee for “Top Female Newcomer” of the Year at The Academy of Country Music Awards. The Beach City American Legion 549's Auxiliary is having their annual luncheon at the Legion Hall (125,3rd Ave.) on Sunday, February 10th starting at 11:30am to 2pm. Various types of homemade soups will be available along with a sandwich of choice such as toasted ham & cheese, or just toasted cheese, egg salad, pb&j and possibly more to choice from that day. A drink and dessert also included and take out orders available. The Auxiliary meetings will also start back up on February 4th at 7pm in the newly renovated meeting room.
