A pancake and sausage breakfast to benefit John Henry Beechy will be held on Saturday Dec. 29th from 7am to 11am. The benefit will be held at Yoder Lumber Co.'s Berlin branch, located at 4515 Township Rd. 367. John Henry of Saltillo worked at Yoder Lumber's Berlin location until about a year ago when he was hospitalized. He has been unable to work since that time and has spent considerable time in the hospital and is still recovering. His fellow employees have decided to have this benefit as a way to help with his medical expenses. Sausage will be prepared by Dennis Raber!

New Date! - Teen Mystery Dinner Costume Party – Teens ages 12 – 18 join us Saturday, December 29th from 4 – 9 pm at the Central Library to help solve the Case of the Flaming Science Lab. Use your sleuthing skills to figure out who set the lab on fire and stole the answers to the science test. Register early for your choice of character. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Winter/Spring Story Celebrations @ the East Branch – Children ages 2-5, their parents or caregivers are invited to join us for stories, songs, crafts and more! Mondays at 11 am beginning January 14th at the East Branch. Registration is requested. Call 330-893-3464.

The Better Body 101 class is offered at both your Massillon Family YMCA and Towpath Trail YMCA. The Towpath Y class runs from January 8th through February 26th. Class is from 6:00 P.M.—7:00 P.M. The Massillon Family YMCA class runs January 12th through March 2nd and is from 10:00 A.M.—11:00 A.M. An advanced class, Fit Body 101, is also offered at The Massillon Family YMCA from 9:00 A.M.—10:00 A.M. during the same dates. Both Body 101 classes are $52 for members and only $72 for those not yet members.

Wayne County Extension
Event Name: Agronomy Update
Event Date and Time: January 17, 10:00 am
Event Details*: An Agronomy Update program that will focus on current and upcoming issues in row crop production is scheduled for January 17 at Fisher Auditorium on the OARDC campus in Wooster. The program is sponsored by the Wayne County Extension office and Tyler Grain and Fertilizer of Smithville. Registration is at 9:30 am and the educational program will run from 10 am until 2:00 pm. Cost of the Agronomy Update program is $10/person which includes lunch and handout materials.

The Wooster Hope Center will now have its Hygiene Distribution and Free Lunch on the first Saturday of the month at 342 Nold Avenue (Daybreak Community Church). The next Hygiene Distribution will be on January 5,2013 from 1:30-4:00 PM. But there will also be free haircuts at the Hygiene Distribution. Please schedule a free haircut. The Food Distribution will now take place on the 4th Saturday of the month at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. We will no longer offer free haircuts during Food Distribution, but we will be offering free haircuts twice each month when the Hope Center opens in 2013.

Civil War Roundtable Program - Jan. 15, 2013, in collaboration with the
Wayne County Libraries, commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War!
You will want to be sure to attend this program which is scheduled to be in the Conference Room of the Wooster Library beginning at 6:30 p.m. There is no charge for the program. Wooster’s own Margo Broehl will be performing in “Triumph and Sorrow—the story of a station on the Underground Railroad in Ohio”.

An Evening in Christ-Centered Four-Part Harmony
Event Date and Time: Sunday, January 6 at 6:30 p.m.
Event Details: Spend the evening with His Bridge Builders Quintet and the Sweet Spirit Quartet in concert at Shreve United Methodist Church, 430 N. Main St., Shreve. This is a free concert, though a free-will offering will be taken to benefit the church's Cuba Mission trip in February.
The concert will be preceded by a donation-only black bean and cornbread dinner at 5 p.m.
