The Millersburg Candlelight Church Walk will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 form 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tour 6 churches and enjoy music, decorations, historic information and light refreshments at each stop. On December 9 at 2pm at the Jeromesville Christian Church, Hillsdale CARES will be sponsoring a Christmas Program called “The Spirit of Christmas”. The program will include the telling of Christ’s birth with Scripture and song and local talent will perform Christmas favorites.

WHO: Haven of Rest Ministries

WHAT: Christmas meals for homeless and needy men, women and children in our community. People who may be spending Christmas alone are also encouraged to join us. A traditional Christmas meal of turkey, homemade mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, cranberry sauce, corn pudding, and pie. Each guest will also receive a bag of toiletry items.

WILMOT – Wilmot Fire & Rescue will be teaming up with the Aultman Blood Center on Friday, December 14th, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. inside the Wilmot Fire Hall. Please consider donating blood. What an easy way for YOU to help save a life- possibly a loved one, a friend or even yourself. The volunteer firefighters and EMTs will be serving a light meal to all that stop in to donate blood. Enter to WIN 2 tickets to the department’s monthly All-You-Can Eat Ham Dinners. Many people cannot give blood due to their iron being too low.

County Line Historical Society Museum Open on Saturday, December 8, 2012. The County Line Historical Society of Wayne/Holmes Museum will be open from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8 and on the second Saturday of each month. New displays have been arranged throughout the museum.

The museum is located in the village of Shreve at 281 North Market Street (State Route 226) across from Shreve Mobil. Parking is available at Shreve Mobil, PNC Bank and the downtown parking lots. Handicap parking is available at the rear of the museum entering an alley off of East Robinson Street.

A pancake and sausage breakfast to benefit John Henry Beechy will be held on Saturday Dec. 29th from 7am to 11am. The benefit will be held at Yoder Lumber Co.'s Berlin branch, located at 4515 Township Rd. 367. John Henry of Saltillo worked at Yoder Lumber's Berlin location until about a year ago when he was hospitalized. He has been unable to work since that time and has spent considerable time in the hospital and is still recovering. His fellow employees have decided to have this benefit as a way to help with his medical expenses. Sausage will be prepared by Dennis Raber!
