The Wayne Soil & Water Conservation District is taking orders until February 23, 2012. The packets consist of evergreens, hardwood & flowering trees, wildflowers and rain barrels. Liberty St., County Administration Building, between 8 a, & 4:30 pm. Free Tax Preparation Services Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Offered by United Way If you worked in 2011, you may be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and FREE tax preparation services from United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties and Orrville Area United Way. Offered this year at locations in Wooster, Millersburg and Orrville, the FREE tax preparation services are a vital component of United Way’s Financial Stability initiative. Annie's Project The workshop is being sponsored by OSU Extension offices in Holmes, Tuscarawas, Stark, Wayne, Harrison, and Jefferson counties. The six-week workshop will be held at the Comfort Inn in Millersburg beginning Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. and running on Wednesdays through March 21st. The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) provides a one time per year utility payment to individuals/families who have received notice of disconnection and are without the financial means to pay heating/cooling bills. Persons requesting assistance are required to present a formal notice of disconnection as well as proof of income to determine eligibility. HEAP clients can only utilize funds from this program one time per year. Seniors and persons with a medical prescriptions may also access Summer Cooling services. Sterling United Methodist Church, 13584 Kauffman Ave., Sterling OH. will be hosting FREE Soup Suppers on Wednesdays during Lent (February 22 through March 28th,), from 4:30-6:00pm. Water St., Loudonville Wooster Youth Baseball will be holding it annual player registration Sat. Feb 4th from 9-1 at Wooster High School in front of the Gualt center. Players ages 5-12 will need to bring a copy of their Birth Certificate and a proof of Residency. Cost is $50 for upper divisions of play, and $35 for t ball.Discounts and scholarships are available. Wooster Youth Baseball is the only Official Little League of America affiliated baseball program in Wayne County.
