Roundtable a big success....HS Football
The Ohio State Radio Network brought their weekly show "Buckeye Roundtable" to Wooster this week. We air the show Monday nights during the season on WQKT and thought that a visit to our area would be well received by the locals, and it certainly was. OSU will only take the show on the road three times this year and with a little lobbying on our behalf, they graciously came to Wooster. Everything could not have gone better. From the people at the Shisler Conference Center, who hosted the event for us, to the radio network team from OSU, who were great with the people and delivered a talented show, to the fans who bought tickets and showed up for the event. We sold out with 220 diehard Buckeye supporters in attendance. There is always a little concern and uncertainity when doing something like this for the first time but fortunately for us, it was a huge win. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the success.
High School Football enters the second half of the season this week. The best of the bunch might be seperating themselves from the rest. We always look towards the playoffs and who might be playing extra and it looks pretty good for the area right now. Led by Defending State Champion Norwayne, the WCAL also boasts Hillsdale and Northwestern as teams that could be having a special season. West Holmes' successs has them primed for their first postseason trip in twelve years and Triway is bouncing back nicely from a difficult season last year. Still a lot to go but it's fun to project and the picture looks good.
