Boys State coming up

Our sports department here at WQKT is readying for the Boys State Basketball Tournament. Even though we will do some College of Wooster Baseball, and possibly some local baseball and softball, over the next two months, we really slow down a bit after the boys tournament. That is good after seven months of activity since the start of football. As far as Boys State, congratulations to Mike Guidetti. He is the winner of the our "Why am I Worthy" contest and wins two tickets to each game of the Boys State Tournament in Columbus. We received some great entries. Some were sad, some were glad, some reminicising about the past or looking to the future. Mike's was unique because out of all the entries, his was the only one that made the committee laugh. And in the end, that distinguished his submission from every other. Mike told us about being the brother in-law of a local coach and never being invited down and would relish the look on his relatives face to see him in the arena. So, congratulations Mike and enjoy Columbus.
